Looking for freediving partners in Dar es Salaam: there is an established diving community, a small number of spearfishermen, but (other than myself) I know of no freedivers. Several nice spots 6 - 30 m and very good conditions most of the year.

Any freedivers new to town or even passing through: please get in touch!

Also in Maputo, Mozambique quite often: keen to tag along if there is any local scene. Any feedback on local events in or weekend-distance from Maputo would be much appreciated.

I have a mate who is moving there in August who is keen on spearfishing (only polespears allowed there right?) and might be convinced to do some pure freediving too. I'll send him a link to this thread.

Hi all,
I may be in Zanzibar from 5th to 8th of March. is there anyone around at that time?
I do recreational freedive and I am interested in trying spearfishing.
I have a few certifications (Aida3, SSI2, ApneaAcademy2) and may have obtained additional level by then.
Unfortunately, I have realized no one actually does freediving in Zanzibar. Or perhaps you know someone ?
thanks à million in advance for your response,
Quentin
