Hey Everyone,

I am looking at my last few years in the military now.....freediving has always been my passion/obsession and i was wondering if anyone knew what job oppertunities are open for freediving instructors these days? Any input? PADI certified scuba instructors are making bank...i hope freediving instructors are doing similarly well......

Hello fishimani ,
Worldwide ,there is very few freediving instructors making a living out of it.
I do not think any is getting really rich with it.
Everybody does it out of passion for freediving.
However i am sure there is space for a lot more instructors on this planet ,as for exemple there are only two or three places offering courses in the whole S.E. Asia .
If you consider it as a career ,try to find a place where you won' t need a long boat ride ,and where you can have access to depth without big waves and strong current.
Dahab is the ideal place as you get depth from the shore ,without current ,without big swell ,and with great visibility. This is why it is so popular (there are probably as many "pro" instructors in the small town of Dabab as in the rest of the world),but i am sure there are other undiscovered great freediving spots (as good as Dahab ,Sharm El sheik or Dean' s blue hole in the Bahamas).
