Hello everyone!

I'm Nish, and I'm relatively new here! Loving this community so far!

I've just recently found some great spots in Sharjah (UAE) to dive a little deeper, and occasionally catch some fish (with a polespear, for now). I've got some pretty amateur Cressi snorkeling equipment as of now, and am looking to upgrade some of the equipment.

I've decided to invest in a pair of freediving fins, and after checking out quite a few shops in dubai and sharjah, I've narrowed it down to the following choices;

- Cressi Gara 3000 LD
- Cressi Gara 2000 HF
- Mares Pure Instinct Razor Pro
- Seac Sub Shout (only s800 and s1000 available)

I've shortlisted these fins mainly due to my limited budget!
Now, I know the guy who sells the Cressi 3000 LD's quite well. And I've gotten a very good price quote on it as well! Its something I would easily choose over the others.

HOWEVER, I've heard the the 3000 LD's are quite thin, and may be slightly flimsy for the warmer waters here in the UAE. I've heard great things about the LD's as a versatile fin, but i don't want to buy them if they may limit performance in warm waters.
I like the others as well, and I've heard that the 2000 HF is a very sturdy, yet somewhat rigid fin.
I'd like your inputs on what pair of fins I should choose, based on the waters here and the performance advantage over the other fins.

Looking forward to your opinions, and many thanks!
-Nish

Go with the 3000s, IF they fit your feet. Your water temp will not be a problem and I never heard of anyone who had them that thought they were flimsy. I have the 2000s and you describe them correctly, less efficient and hard to achieve good technique unless you are a gorilla.

Thanks for the advice, Connor!

I suppose I was just worried about the effects of high water temperatures on thinner fins. Read about thin fins and warm waters on another forum. I must mention that the summer temperatures tend to rise to nearly 50*Celsius here!

Will most likely pick up the 3000 LD's. The only other choice, I suppose is the Mares Razor Pro.

Got myself some Mares Razor Pro's. Got a good deal on them, plus these fins would give me the option to switch out the blade in the future to fiberglass or carbon blades.
Tried them out a few times. They're relatively medium-hard in terms of stiffness, but they make a nice 'C' shape in the water, and give good thrust. Long fins really do make a difference!
Also bought a Cressi Nano mask!

Again, thanks for your input, Connor!
