Freediving in Cairns

I'll be in Cairns 29th of september and wonder if any of you are from/will be in cairns and interested to do some freediving (not looking for training this time as I've been looking at the line for quite some time already)

Probably can join the snorkelling tours and do a bit of freediving?

Hey!
I've been living in Cairns for 2 months now, but I'm not sure that I'll be here on the 29th.
Last weekend I went diving with Deep Sea Divers Den on the reef and there was also the possibility to snorkel; I hardly recommend them: friendly and professional crew. The other possibility is to head to one of the islands, Fitzroy or Green, that are also nice spots to explore the reef.
I'll be in touch, I'd be very keen to freedive with you.
By the way, if there is anyone else from Cairns in the forum... let me know! I'm training in the pool but I'd love to head to the reef for some spearfishing/freediving with you guys.

Thank you so much for the details!! Its my first time diving in Cairns so I have no idea where to go. Definitely going to check Deep sea divers out! Thanks so much again, I'll arrive cairns on the 28th morning, hope you'll be around, keen to go freediving too!!

I second Deep Sea Divers Den, they are great! Reel Cray Zee Charters will also do a custom charter for you, if you can get a group of six or so.
