Hey,

Is there anybody that know of any freediving schools/training/courses in Cuba? Could only find scuba diving courses.
I have done my first level and excited to do the next course.

Not that I know of. It's not the most free market / entrepreneurial place you'll find ;).

They also aren't so much focused on dive safety and proper protocols and more about spearing to catch some fish, as they live with chronic shortages and there is a lack of $$$ for the general population.

Perhaps you might find a dive buddy, but not sure about an organized course.

As I feared... Thank you so much for your answer.

As a side note: I would NEVER use a caribbean scuba dive school for safety / theory / knowledge / training. It's scary, how little they care about theory.

It's also relational to the fact that their customers are on all-inclusive, booze-fest vacations.... But that should make safety more critical.

I certainly wouldn't trust them to safety me while freediving!

The only good thing about the western legal system and litigious nature of the west, is that at least safety training is done diligently and no one wants accidents on their watch due to lawsuits and insurance implications.
