I am but a little relieved to see at lease one reply...My wife and I have been planning on moving to Maine as soon as some of our property here in Arkansas sells. Probably in the Portland area, or with 40 minutes of it. Have you gotten to do some spearing yet?
Southern Maine is the furthest north I'll go. NH is arguably better because you can shoot striped bass, which is arguably the most popular fish to spear in New England. I'd be happy to dive with you when you get here.
That sounds great! I will let you know, and post something here, when I actually make it up there. I've gone swimming in Maine, though i didn't have any dive gear with me, so it won't be a total surprise that it is cold. Striped bass sounds good too though! may have to travel a bit to get some spearing in...
The first good NH spot is about 45 minutes from Portland. I don't check here often so a PM or a post in this thread should do the trick. Diving starts again in May or so, with most fish showing up in June.
