Hi,
Ill be going on a 4 week trip to the Philipines in jan/feb. NEVER having dived in tropical waters, I have a few questions I hope someone might enlighten me about =)

- Should I take into account any hazardous animals? Like jellyfish(box-jellyfish), sharks etc? Is using a stinger suit a good idea? What about medications....should I bring anything in the worst case..
-Is there any point in using a shorty? I presume the water temperature to be a "tad" comfortable than here in Norway;-)
- Any point in bringing a short speargun?,,,Dunno if it is allowed down there..

Thanks in advance! Grateful for ANY tips on freediving in the Philipines(Moalboal, Malapascua, Coco BEach, Boracay)

Pål =)

Sounds like a good trip.

I would definately bring a shorty, or some sort of light wet suit. Many people tend to spend longer in the water in the tropics and, especially in winter, cold will get to you eventually.

Have a great trip

hi vectra

you need a couple of different shots for going to that part of the world, so check with your doctor

surface water is about 26 degrees celcius, but i guess you wanna go down. so bring a fullbody
i used a 3mm last time. next time im bringing a 5mm

i have not been on malapascua or in moalbal, but mindoro and especially boracay are beutiful places

so enjoy

morten
