Freediving locations in Jordan?

Hi all,

Is there a freediving scene in Jordan? Are there any good places to dive from the shore? Anyone out there who wants to share his/her experiences?

i think al Aqaba is the best place to freedive in jordan as there is no other sea over there.

you can see the tank under the water and amazing underwater scene...not to mention the sea always come and nearly facing currents.

the most interesting thing is from aqaba you are only 15min from israil and a couple of hours from Dahab in Egypt. both places have ALOT of freedivers.

so Eilat in Isreal would be the closest spot,just watch your passport as you will need a loose leaf stamp so that you can get back into the country.

As I don't see any local Jordanian freediving activity, I'd like to start it, as I live just across the border. Anyone who dived in Aqaba is welcome to join this page.
