There is a new issue (#4) of the freediving magazine Monde Bleu. This time it comes with several articles in English. Especially the one about Sebastian Naslund is quite long and interesting. But there is also some other English written info. And of course plenty of French articles, and a lot of beautiful photos. All exclusively about freediving. And the best on it - it is free. BTW, I am not affiliated, and this is no advertizement, I just want to share it:

There is a new number of the Monde Bleu magazine. In fact it changed the name - it is now called Dive Free Magazine, and the website changed too to Bienvenue sur Freediving.fr ! | freediving.fr

The new magazine is available either through the above mentioned website, or also directly at the following address:
Dive Free #5

Again, the magazine comes with most articles in French, but there are some interesting ones in English too. The publisher plans releasing separate French and English versions in future, but currently they struggle quite seriously with the finances, so do not hesitate expressing your support at least by signing up (free of charge) on their website. That's already a pretty important argument for them when they deal with sponsors. And you can also consider sending them some donations - finally the guys do amazing job practically for free at the moment, so I think they deserve some support for an amazing magazine that many of you would not hesitate buying if it was for sale.

(Hehe, I find funny I ask people for donations to someone else, while myself having the experience with receiving 80€ in donations in 4 years for running a community website that costs me thousand times more. But let's hope these guys will have better luck :) otherwise this excellent resource may disappear soon)

Dear all,

we thank you for appreciating our releases. This is a hard but very nice unpaid job !

We know that it is not really possible to enjoy reading Dive Free Magazine for non-French speakers.

All the team is dedicated to this question, and we deeply hope that we will be able to release both French and English version soon. This is just a question of time and enregy :)

You can currently find some nice interviews and articles in English.

I enjoyed the article with Sebastian Näslund very much, THANK YOU!
I also subscribed, and think it's a nice unifying freediving magazine. I like the personal diver stories, where with this specialised magazine you go much more in depth about technique and the personality, instead of needing to explain even the simplest of concepts to an uneducated public such as the readers of regular newspapers.

Maybe you guys can do some more in depth interviews with the historic persons of the AIDA deck of cards Christian Engelbrecht is working on? I would really love to know more of the back ground and their paths and changes of people like Enzo Majorca.
Ideas for articles: " ask the expert ", " new trends and techniques ", " new freediving science ".

I also like the online PDF reading interface, it works and flows well, especially when you've got a bigger monitor.

All the best,

Kars

Thanks a lot for your contribution Kars !

Indeed, Sebastian was really kind to send us such an interesting article.

I have just created a English section in the personal navigation toolbar (see on our website: Bienvenue sur Freediving.fr ! | freediving.fr, when your are logged you have a tab named "English section"...I do not have time to launch a fully English version of the website yet, I'm sorry.)

In this section, we will put all the articles that are already in English and the articles we have translated into English.

Furthermore, you will find on the website a photo gallery soon, as we have lots a very beautiful freediving pictures as you can see in the magazines.

Is there a possibility to download the latest issue straight to my hard disc?

Yes, in the menu of the viewer, there is an option for download too.

I saw it, but its not available, I don't know why. I used 3 browsers to check it and eve registered ther..still that option is not available;/
Any ideas?

Indeed, it is disabled now, although it did work when I last checked. I guess the authors of the magazine disabled it. I know, that for some incomprehensible reason, they do not wish that people download and share the magazine, but rather go through their website. I really do not know why, because they do not do it for profit, and in fact the main site does not contain any commercial offers, but I guess they are afraid someone could rip off the content and sell it for their own. Well, it is still easily possible, but since I know the authors do not wish I share such tips, I better shut up, although I think they shoot themselves into the leg.

I've sent an email to them, hope they send me the pdf version, I've got past 4:)
