Freediving on YouTube

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Since we're all good friends here, I'll show you a video of my own sweet daughter doing her very first freedive. She was 18 at the time, and her training to that point consisted of a 10-minute lecture from me in the car on the way from Sunset House to Turtle Reef (Grand Cayman) and a couple of hours watching me and two other people diving. She hit the bottom on her first dive - it startled her - at 49 feet/15m with no effort at all.

She pretty much lost interest in freediving at that point. Couldn't understand what all the fuss is about. Now she plays polo, jumps out of perfectly good airplanes and crashes down rapids in remotest Maine.

What is a ' "lie" ' ? I know what a lie is, but when it's in quotes I'm not sure what it means. Is a "lie" not actually a lie ? How many inverted commas can be fitted in one forum post?

Did I upset you Paul?
Did you not listen to all the bullshit being said here:

- A "lie" is "an exageration".
- A ""lie"" is "a fact that a lazy journalist has not bothered to double check".

But I guess this is not journalism - more entertainment. In this category we have other "lies" aswell:
- We also have a """lie""" which is "a journalist only talking about the positive stuff - without mentioning other angles".
- And we also have a """"lie"""" which is "a journalist getting his bills payed by lets say some commercial intrest and writing what they expect him or her to say or write".
I do believe we also have a """""lie""""" but I am not sure what that is... :) I think it is somehow linked to "earning a living" in some cases...

Gentlemen, these are deep, deep thoughts indeed. What could it possibly mean? Discuss among yourselves. Today's my day for shampooing my hair.

With me? I'm not the one who MUST identify and surgically remove blackhead buggers from mens' backs. As far as I'm concerned, men should be allowed to develop and retain blackhead back buggers as they see fit. Any man who wears a wetsuit frequently, especially in hot climates, has a leg up on the growth, development and maintenance of BBB's.

Why, oh why do the ladies feel this overwhelming compulsion to excise them? At least this time it was done by a trained professional. Other times there's been a pool of blood on the floor and visits by outraged Amnesty International activists.

It was nothing, really. I patched up the hole with a dab of Bondo and went right back into the water.

Yes, they are beautiful. And there is a fourth one that I like the most. It is pretty suggestive and magic, although rather static. A true piece of fineart:

I do not know if Cebaztian did them himself, or if he just uploaded his favorite clips, but all four are excellent.
