Tomek Bryl, young freediver, someone could say "out of nowhere" suddenly hits big at World Championships in Maribor. New Polish National record, second in Maribor going 7'15" without any warm up, just watching guys from top of the game warming up, joking with his safety, Radek at the same time. He had a good time a month ago in Egypt, his first trip to freediving Mecca - Blue Hole, definately a good training there.

Tomek Nitka (Tom Thread?:t ) at DB known as Nitas. "Old Boy" as he likes to call himself, "great teacher" by others. Freediver from the old school - Umberto's school (in the same class with William, Tomek first predicted "William is gonna get big") In Maribor 159m DYF, the longest distance among bi-finners.

Piotr Bauza - DYF 125m, new PB, means even more at competition of this prestige.

Radek Gaca - happy enough

Now try to imagine what does it mean for Freediving Poland. What kind of JOY!? We calebrate big time! There will be many champagne bottles opened tonight! In our little freediving world it feels happier than if the soccer team would get into the finals (history ) We feel incredibely, awesome happy and proud to be the part of "top of the game". I've never been to competition yet so I can only imagine how good it feels to "get paid", means apprecciated for all the hard work.
I open this thread as a tribute to all of hard working divers that are happy and satisfied with their performances in Maribor. Especially I want to congratulate Tomek Bryl, hard working diver that almost nobody heard about before, yet he managed to leave big names behind. At the company I used to work for it was called "equal opportunity" and that's just one of the things I love about freediving...

inspired, hope to compete one day Your nostres

congrats poland as an aside we will have another Pole, Jarek starting trainig with me on Monday night next week. Hope to get a regular training session going each week sea if its ok or pool if its too rough.

Congrats to the entire Polish Team !!!
Special cheer for my diving budy Piotr Bauza with a new PB in DNF which was probably the strongest discipline at Maribor - 1 3 5 metres, cristal clean with obvious potential left over for more, placing him in the 12th spot ( btw Nostres 125 m was in eliminations, in finals he added 10 more). Way to go Piotr!!! Too bad he did not compete in static - who knows we might have had 2 of our guys on the podium than...
