Hey!

We're going to spend just couple of days in Dubai so couple of tips finding a place to dive would be more than welcome. Any suitable places on the coast? How to get there quickly?

Thanks all!

Hi,

There aren't really interesting freediving sites in Dubai (near the coast) as far as I know, the huge projects offshore (palm, the world, etc.) have killed whatever life was there before. i live in Sharjah (next to Dubai) and work in Dubai/Abu Dhabi, I go diving in Umm al Quwain (from Dubai direction Sharjah, pass Ajman and go strait), near the public beach there are 2 wrecks which are nice to dive. It also depends on your level, I am not a pro and dive only around 10 m...
Once you are there you can call me, 0509438104 I can give you the few sites I know!

See ya,

Abu Ayyoub.

Ok, just another idea here, if you are willing to pay, you can go to some old boat keepers and ask them if they are willing to bring you somewhere for the day. We did it a few times, but to be honest with you our level was not enough so far to go deeper than 10 meters... :) But it's a good option too.

I Dubai there's a small marina next to the public beach, ask there some local fishermen, they know most of the time about spearfishing (at least) and they hav no problem to take you somewhere.

Abu Ayyoub.
