Hello everyone! I am heading to St. George from June 11-24 for vacation. Any tips on freediving sites in the area? Seems to be mostly sand off the beach, but I've heard of some artificial reefs offshore.

I used to spearfish heavily in South Florida, Bahamas, Puerto Rico and Panama. But I've been out of it for the past few years. Looking forward to getting back in the water and teaching my kids to pole spear. I used to dive master, but these days prefer the freedom of freediving to scuba. There must be a few of you Gulf coast hunters out there familiar with the area. Thanks for the help!

I dive out of Destin so don't know much about that area. Most of the stuff is well offshore I think. There's an awesome dive shop in Port St Joe that would probably be able to help you out and they run trips to a shallow wreck there in the bay.
