Does anyone know how good standard sized freediving suits works for women? Is it possible for a girl to buy a standard sized suit just regarding height and weight or is there ladies models or a need for custom design?
If standard suits are ok what tips do you have for a 5mm suit worth the prize?
(cheap please)

It matters how larger the women’s chest size is then an average man for the size your interested. If it not much more the suit should stretch. A custom suit would be your best bet for the little extra money you will be warmer because of having a better fit.

Seems like for women a custom suit is even more important (more variaty of froms and more sensitivity to the cold).
A custom size made suit doesn't have to be more expensive, and anyway it's well worth it.
Try looking for Elios or a Diveskin for cheap quality custom size suits.

Thanks! The suit is not for me, its for a female freediver (ofcourse). She is a beginner and do not want to spend great money. I have a elios custum made suit (since I am quite tall). I am very happy with it and think i will recommend her to buy one. The trick is that there are cheeper suits out there in her size.....
....but in the end one that fits perfectly might be better.

I've got an Elios custom made suit, and it's perfect. I can't think of any problem with it, except that it tears easily because it is open cell.

Perow1,

Where is your friend located?

Tell your friend that she always can get a custom suit from MAREA, ELIOS for a perfect fit, but they will be more expensive. I can help you with the first brand if you need information.

If you are lookin for standard wetsuits try the Dalahk and Goblin models from OMER, they have a model for Women, but with a Back Zipper.
If she is in USA, Mark Laboccetta would help her.

Cheers

Don't get a suit with a zipper that destroys everything that opencell gains. Also opencells doesn't rip easy if you lube it properly. The suit I am diving in is about 5 years old and still doing well.

I would not recommend any woman to get an off the peg suit - custom made suits from Elios are pretty cheap and a whole lot more comfortable. My first suit was off the peg from Submarine but I could at least try it on first and it was ok.

I have two second hand Elios suits for sale at the moment - 5ml and 3ml. They were made for me but if your friend is a similar size one of them might suit as a cheaper option (5 ft 6, 38" chest, UK size 12/14). Only selling them as I have changed shape quite a bit and now they are too big. PM or email if you are interested.
