Hi

We're off to Sweeden for a week at the end of March and obviously I'd like to get in the water.

Does anyone know what the lakes around Junosuando, Norrbotten County are like as this is where we will be.

Are they good to dive?

Is there anything nearby that's worth a look?

Thanks in advance for any tips. :)

I don't know anything about the lakes and what diving there is. But there are lot of lakes... I do know a bit about the weather though.

You will have to have some guts. Or at least a good wetsuit. Second week in April they hold the annual ice fishing competition, i.e. walk onto the ice and drill holes to fish through. April is still skiing season. You get the knack. Not saying you can't dive, just that it will take some effort, i.e. getting through the ice.

I understand that suana-and-jump-in-the-ice-cold-lake is practiced quite a bit around there. I'm hoping that I can do quick dip (10 ins of diving?) and then straight into the sauna to warm up!

Last year I dived in April in iceland and that was ok. We were in the water for 45 minutes or so.

It's gonna take some motivation though!
