Freediving vs. spearfishing wetsuits

I was looking to buy a wetsuit and I found a good deal on a spearfishingg wetsuit but I just want to do recreational dives. Are there any noticable differences between the two kinds?

We offer a freedive suit as well as a spearfishing suit. Our spearfishing suit (3.5.7 mm options) is made from Yamamoto 39 neoprene. The suit includes a chest pad for speargun loading and also knee pads = as well as a knife pocket. We have two camo color options.

Our freedive suit - which comes in black and only 3 mm thickness is made from a softer, more flexible neoprene - Yamamoto 45. Slightly better stretch and comfort because a competitor is going to want the absolute least restriction. No dad needed for a suit that is intended to handle swimming and none of the abuse spearos might put their suit through.

If you are diving recreational, a spear fishing suit should work fine (for scuba and freediving).

I think spearo suits are basically freediving wetsuits with some extra features - so should be fine for "recreational dives" whatever that is.
