Hi everyone, looking for some advice on some good suits for freediving in the UK. Was looking at elios and even sent them my requirements hoping they would send me back a couple of options, they sent me 14! So I'm still a bit confused! Does anyone in the UK have an elios suit? If so which one? Or any recommendations on any other suits would be great. Cheers.

I recently bought my first 'spearfishing' suit from a company called Polosub. It's made to measure and so much nicer than the old suit I was using. More supple and flexible, and loads warmer. There's a bit of a knack to getting it on and off though. Just over £200 if I remember right. Chest high trousers and top with hood. Black. 5mm. Nylon/lycra stuff on the outside and smooth neoprene on the inside. Took about a month to get made and delivered.

Oh and I'm glad not to have the long john/dungaree style trousers - with those you'd have to take the top off to get the bottoms down for toilet purposes. Unless you like pissing / shitting in your suit!

Ellios make outstanding suits. Probably a 5mm custom is fine, winter might need a 7mm or a 3mm vest on top. I've had the medium density rubber which is fine, but the softer rubber is warmer.
Downside is shipping costs; not sure how much to the UK. You might want to look at a more local builder as long as you can fit their suits.

Ok thanks for the advice guys, I tried again with elios hoping they would narrow it down slightly. I'm fairly keen on this
Suit 5mm Green elastic lining inside / Smoothskin black outside Neoprene Heiwa medium Density Price Euro 255,00 it's a good alternative for freediving, always very elastic, comfortable, easy to wear like a t-shirt and more more durable with lining inside. (also reversible like photo 4) (low water-resistance)
Sounds like it has everything I need. Any more thoughts would b great?

You will always be warmer with a non-lined suit. Open-cell is really warm and seals out water if it fits right.
Smooth skin exterior is nice but watch it on the rocks and stuff.

However, it's all good.
