I have a question. Is this following the Scuba guys like in other years? I ask because of a conversation with Jon about some local bubble guys wanting to do some ice training.

In years past it was run at the same time as the sucba divers, but last year was on a seperate day.I would think that this year we should have even more freedivers so a second weekend would be needed anyway.

If you were thinking of bringing your dive team guys up it's usually the second weekend in February that we run the ice (scuba) diving classes.

Jon

I just ordered some of the 5mm Open Cell Gloves and 5mm open cell booties from Hammerhead. Now I just need a 5mm custom fit suit with some Yamamoto 45!!.

No plans, but that does not mean that we can not make some! (just posted a thread)

Glad to see your back Peter- will your wife let you go?

Jon;)

What the hell is this? The "Short-Forum"?!

Under, ice....

uhm, guys?

Where I'm from anything under 22 degrees celsius is too cold to swim in lol!

3mm WILL WORK- but not for long. 5mm is ideal or thicker. Last year we got out after about 2 hours in the water- mainly because of our feet and hands getting cold- not our bodies.

We can't all live on an island with warm saltwater all around us! :) Check out the sub zero video in Scott's Youtube gallery! The water was warmer than the air.
