i've read articles and did the googling about frenzel
however, when i perform the frenzel maneuver during the dives my right ear always hurts and could never be equalized.(the frenzel worked just fine on my left ear)
now i'm stuck at roughly 5 meters depth every time...
wherever i practice the frenzel(one land or in the water), i can discover that the pressure in my right ear always weaker than left ear.
i'm wondering whether my right ear is suffering from barotrauma or not but i guess it's not because there's no abnormalities as far as i know.
i've consult a doctor and the doctor didn't find issues(yet) in my right ear.
i assume that i'm doing the correct frenzel maneuver, which is
pinch nose and touch the tip of tongue to the roof of mouth to seal the air in the mouth, and then "swallow" the air.
(all i know is to "swallow" the air and i couldn't find another way to push air into eustachian tube)
i can perform frenzel with mouth open and feel that the pressure rises in the eardrum, so i guess i'm always doing the frenzel equalization correctly.
my questions are:
1. is it possible that i'm having some kind of sickness on my right eustachian tube or maybe allergy on nasopharyngeal, which prevents my right ear from equalizing?
2. am i doing the frenzel maneuver right?
3. once the air is pushed into the eustachian tube by frenzel maneuver, is there sufficient air remaining in the mouth(throat) to perform more frenzels?(if i don't release air from lungs into mouth)
any reply will be appreciated!
