TOL, TASS & Whopperhead are planning on going spearfishing- I'm hoping we can go to the Sheboygan OUTLET- We'll have to see how the weather is going to be. If anyone else is interested - your more than welcome- post and let us know. I will be bringing the Shanty- it worked well last time. If the weather is not good- we will probably go to the OUTLET in Madison.
 
You paid too much for your calendar.......the 26th is a Saturday. Does the "2008" part have any white-out on it?

Personally, I'd demand a refund.

Then again, I'm probably being more of a smartass because I can't go with you guys.

ok well, it's FRIDAY- I guess the 25th?- Regardless- FRIDAY. I think we're going to shoot for Sheboygan.
 
I won't be able
I won't be able tp go to Sheboygan this Saturday, but I'm planning to go to the outlet in Madison (as long as the roads are drivable) around 10AM to test my new wetsuit. Hopefully the warm water will be flowing but I plan on going in if it's not. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Well, I think I've finally met my match...Whopperhead you ARE HARDCORE man! The winter freediving pics and vids have made my winter a little bit more bearable!

That last video of "the outlet" really got me pumped! Looks like alot of fun! Nice stories by everone too! Very entertaining stuff!

The video's and stuff have been awesome...But as a sidenote: I hope no freediver's/spearo's are MOLESTING the muskies :naughty at "the outlet"! Hunting/fishing/spearing pics or videos seem have a way of touching off sparks for some people. Could spell BIG problems for freediver's and spearing there - and at other places too even. We spearo's have it good here in Wisconsin so far...Lets not put the cart in reverse! Be careful! Remember the "dogfish" that someone said was a friggin' walleye?!!!rofl

Lets be "just a little bit" careful about what "joe public" sees and reads! I loved the video but I can see where "some" people would be upset with certain aspects of it like the shot under the musky at a carp. I KNOW the musky is just fine...But some people will probably think you speared the thing! Not to mention the comment's afterwards about the injured musky!!! Not trying to be a B'yatch, I just don't wanna see any trouble come to the sport we all love so much! :inlove Still a great vid though! Just would'nt like the "wrong" people to view it and start up a fuss.

Man...That one musky is so big he almost looks like a cartoon or something!

Anyways "The Girls" are here...Already the "sleep depravation studies" have begun! :t

So as USUAL I WIL NOT make it on the 26th!

I do however look forward to the pics, vids, and write-up after the trip though! Have fun guys...See ya soon!

I hear what your saying Dan. The shot of wreckrunner diving down to the muskie he- actually was further away than it looks- BUT I hear ya- so far, no "ANGLERS" have said anything. Some of the video of them (muskies) swimming away is after they swam up to me about an inch away or so and I made motion towards them to "shu" them away.

That shot of the carp looks alot worse than it was- (camera angle) That muskie was a good foot away before I took the shot. BUT, trust me - I hear ya ;)

Just a note- that guy thought that dogfish was a Northern Pike - I had sent him a PM and helped him see the light.

I'm not sure what kind a wetsuit you plan on getting- but I noticed ELIOS raised their prices this year (which is expected). HOPE to see you out there with us this spring!
 
the only thing I molested was dotey's pants.

I'm not proud of it, but it happened.
 
Looks like I might not be able to go diving on FRIDAY- I hurt my back when I slipped on the ice. I went to the dr today and he adjusted it a little but I have to go back on Friday at 9- so, I'll see how i'm doing after my appointment- The earliest I think I could be in Sheboygan would be noon.
 
The irony of the situation is stunning. You injured yourself walking on pavement making it unlikely that you'll be able to hold your breath in sub zero windchills and dive deep into a lake with ice on it. ;)

I really hope you can make it. I'm up for absolutely any time of day. If we are going to Sheboygan, I'm very close so I need no warning. If we are going to Madison, I'm about two hours away but have the whole day off.

I truly hope your back feels better!

A side note:

A couple of people had mentioned that they were mask and fin shopping. Let me know and I'll bring an extra pair of fins and a few masks. I'm not planning to sell any of it...well, maybe the fins and a mask or two...just thought it'd be an easy way to see what you like before ordering. It's always nice to try before buying.

TOL- if I'm able to go diving after the appointment on friday- we'll be going to sheboygan- I'll give you a call after my appointment to let you know.

i told him i didnt want to hurt him but i will if i have to knocked the old man down hated to do it but i get crazy when i am backed into a coner. He didnt listen to what i am telling him lol / if all goes well friday at his doc appt then ill be there in the water with you guys so lets hope all goes well

dotey- don't go there- you don't want me to embarass you infront of all our dive buddies. I'm thinking I should be able to go still- I just HAVE to go to this appointment- I figure I'd be home and loaded up by 10am and would get me to sheboygan at noonish- If it gets too bad- I set the speargun down and just shoot some video- if I can't handle flopping around on top of the water- I'll Chill in the shanty.

You already have painkillers? Leave the speargun at home buddy..........
 
no pain killers for me. "loaded up" meaning the car. - Although that would make things interesting - LOL
