I have read many discussion threads on DB about how fast the newest hyper-style fins like the Waterway Glide are, but it still did not prepare me for how that feels. I have been swimming with a Nemo Wing, medium stiffness, for almost three years now. I've been wanting to upgrade, and had a chance to buy a Carbon Glide at a very good price but sight unseen other than pictures. The best part is that it fits me exactly like I wanted-only neoprene toe socks, can wear it for 30 minutes before it starts to hurt my feet too bad. Compared to the Nemo...it is completely different. Easier for me to swim with, even though the blade is stiffer (5)-I think this is because I need the angle it has. I can now do the same DYN distances with much less effort, and can actually glide. Putting the Nemo back on now is quite a let down, as it feels slow yet hard to push through the water without bending knees (no angle). I used to think it was fast....My top speed when sprinting is much faster too! I am loving it. The fin is such high quality-all edges glued perfectly, footpockets straight-just perfect really. If anyone is interested in comparisons, please ask/comment.
