Have just booked a weeks surf trip. Have been before but never taken the spearo kit. May be simple to pack a 75 gun and some fins.

Whats the likely fish on the inshore reefs? The water can be crystal clear (lava reef) and if its flat could be an option. I know a few of the beaches have NO SPEARING signs but there is a lot of coast!!

Trip next Easter so time for some feedback. Thanks.

Head down to Tiger Point, there will be swell on the N & W sides but E side is usually really sheltered. Ace waves here as well if the swell is big and wrapping in. Your not supposed to fish down here, but it is very isolated....
If it is small on the North Track, go to the ligthouse at Cotillo and drive along the track towards Hiero. There are some really good coves and lagoons. Watch out for naked Germans.
