Hi i have bought a pair of Gara 3000 HF,but one of the fins where twisted!
How do i get it straight?

Id say send em back for a replacement cause I cant see how that can happen without compromising the strenth of the blade, theyre rather stiff if Im not mistaken so being twisted might not be a good thing check if you can see any small cracks or white stress marks from being misformed in such a way if so Id definately send em back. If thats not an option try heating it with a hairdryer or warm water, boiling? not too sure, and then straigten out the blade :) .
Good luck

I think I answered to this question in a mailing list just a while ago. The case with the twisted fin happened to me aswell. Just slightly twisted though. I had never used fins before so these fins was my "learning fins". I never botherd to vorrect the fin i just kept on swimming with them. I never noticed anything, but that might have been because I had never used fins before. I used these fins for about one year before i switched to mono. I do not think I have been affected by this, but I will never know since i do not have a control subject.

yknow.. funny thing is, one of mine had a bend in it too, one of the sides had a bit of a twist.. i agonized over it for a bit but then i started ignoring it, it doesnt throw off my kick or anything

I got this mail from scubastore

Hello Fredrik,
<DIV>Unfortunately the "issue" your fins have is not considered on warranty this kind of defect or deformity is not permanent and will disappear once you have used them a couple of times. The appearance of the fins is due to the way they have to be stored."

Thany u guys for helping me

lait,

If it helps you feel better, they are absolutely right. I have numerous Cressi fins and on many occasions left them sitting under something heavy. They appear to get all warped, but will easily go back to their proper shape after you use them.

Don't worry about it!

Jim

:)

I'd try (gently) warming and molding them (if needed), and letting them cool off lying on a flat surface.
Letting them lie in the sun even might do the trick.

regards,

sanso

weird thing, one of my gara fins also is a bit twisted, though only very minor.. and i got it just a week ago. i tried "untwisting" it, but after a few hours it goes back to the "twisted" shape..

I haven´t got my straight yet,but it have not affected me i the water.
But soon we have summer in Sweden and then i gonna leave them in the sun
for a few hours and see i that helps!

fredrik in Sweden

I say send them back and order a pair of Sporasub Elite.

They are almost as good as my C4 falcon 40's and the blades fit right over.
Yes I also own a pair of Gara 3000 and they are pretty weak compared.
