Hello all,

My name is Ben and i am relatively new to freediving but i tell you what...I LOVE IT! I'm not very good (yet) but i am practising all the time and plan to take my recreational freediving as far as i possibly can. Any advice, tips, or wisdom to help me on my way would be greatly appreciated.

Look forward to meeting and hearing from you all.

Ben.

Welcome to DB, how abot telling us where you are from, And there is loads and loads of tips pointers and techniques under the freediving section of this forum.

Have a great time on the site and safe diving

Welcome to DB, Ben!
You'll have loads of fun and - most likely - all the info You'll need here. On diving, that is

For Your training, just to make sure, here's how to start freediving. This thing got me going. (from nothing to a static PB of 3:30 within two months.) heheh
Once You're through that, check out freediving training and techniques to refine whatever You're doing. This should give You plenty to do.

You're from somewhere very southern (from a germany point of view), right?

Welcome to db BEN!
As you may have already noticed here you can find alot of info and suggestions. Use the search mode to find what you need, or ask directly to the forum. People are really cool and friendly.. I am just new as you in DB, but already had lots of advices (and kind warning ..). Try editing your profile so everybody can have a little more info about you. ciao, Matteo.

Thanx heaps for the very warm welcome guys!

Lol i'm very sorry for forgetting to say i'm from Australia (very very southern Sanso lol). Anyway thanks again for all you tips and information for getting started, i look forward to starting my training and improving all my PBs!

Cheers. :friday

G'day Ben, always great to see another aussie freediving Ben (there's 3 of us that I know of).

Where abouts do you live? I'm in London so i'm not much help, but if you go to Australian Freediving Community - Fanatical about Freediving in Australia you might be able to find a dive buddy in your area. There's a couple of top freedivers in Sydney and Brisbane, but our best freediver lives in Canberra of all places!

Anyway mate, hope you hook up with someone.

Cheers,
Ben
