G'day everyone,
I'm very new to diving. My wife and I love very basic level snorkelling and as a mad keen fisherman, I've always been distantly interested in spearfishing (y'know, watching youtube videos like YBS etc and saying "I wish") but absolutely fell in love with it when I was taken out off Mission Beach by a friend of a friend. I only got a few Slateys but my host got a big black spot tusky and two coral trout, one plate size and one big one.
So, naturally, now that I'm back from holidays and stuck wishing I could get out and do more spearfishing, I sought out ways of occupying my mind with it if I can't be physically doing it and that search lead me here.
The motor on my tinny died a few months ago so I'm still saving for a new motor, let alone spearfishing gear so it will be a slow trek back to the depths but I'll get there!
Glad to find a group of like-minded people I can ask lots of noob questions in the meantime!
