Hey guys,

Just wanted to quickly introduce myself. My name is Sean and i live in Bundaberg Queensland Australia (where the best rum in OZ is made !!:p)

I live about 5 minutes walk from a fantastic landbased dive spot so the bug has well and truly bitten. My kids are getting right into thier snorkelling aswell. I've always line fished but it's time try this spearfishing caper.

I've gone a bit crazy and bought a heap of new gear including a 1m Rob Allen speargun, new fins etc, etc....

I'm trying to learn as much as i can and this forum seems to be the right place to start.

Cheers guys.

Welcome to DB Sean - you certainly have joined the right place for info, knowledge and a friendly bunch of members!

G'day Sean, welcome to the forum!

Hope you stayed dry up there - my wife's great aunty was one of the ones rescued by Black Hawk chopper from North Bundy... she's 92!!

Plenty to learn here - have a good look around.

Cheers,
Ben

Hey Sean! If you haven't already, get in touch with the Curtis Coast freedivers. You will find them on Facebook. They are a great group of freedivers and spearos who train in Gladstone and occasionally organize trips out to the reef.
