Generally, is cooking fish the same from fish to fish?

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
The vast majority of fish in the sea can be eaten. There are some very nasty exceptions, so local knowledge is a good thing. There are also some fish that are socially unacceptable to spear. Angel fish or parrot fish in the US, for instance. Of course, social mores vary with place.

The catch is never to let the fish get overdone. Never cook a fish to more than 130F, about the same as extra rare beef. That way it never dries out or gets nasty.
