Hi. I've been swimming for a mile in my local public pool, using a snorkel set from Academy Sports called, "US Divers". Here is the link. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/u-s...38?color=Blue&N=359272168&Ntt=snorkel&Ntk=All
A. Have often used this same snorkel over the past couple of years for swimming laps in the pool. Many with explosive speed. No dizziness, cardiovascular symptoms, nothing.
B. However, recently I again picked up this exercise, and after two weeks experienced SEVERE dizziness and vertigo after returning to the locker room.
1) It was exactly a week ago that I had transferred the snorkel from the right side of my head to the left.
2) I swam a mile (thirty-five laps), swimming at speed every fifth lap, spitting out the snorkel and doing the backstroke so I could breath unencumbered by the snorkel on the sixth lap.
3) I noticed I was particularly winded after the lap at speed.
C. After a semi-intense workout in the weight room the next day (twenty to thirty minutes; I typically go for an hour using EDT training [Escalation Density Training]), I again experienced this dizziness, though not nearly as intense.
D. It is a week later, and this morning I woke up breathless, which lasted for most of the morning.
Did I mention I also have a ventral hernia?
Could C02 poisoning be playing a factor in my discomfort?
