I just received the GIMAN Dentex 100…………I almost fainted when I touched it.:martial
The gun is truly a piece of Art…..Took 2 months in the making….by hand....and very much worth the wait.

The grip is phenomenal, your hand wraps around the handle as though it was carved out by a master sculpture.
The trigger seems to be similar to the sensitive Riffe trigger.

Check out the second band and how it is tied so as not to add volume towards the end of the barrel for easier manoeuvring.

The loading pad is excellent, tried it even out of the water, very bearable.

I still did not try it………I’ve heard it comes 3rd to the most accurate speargun available…but we’ll see.

Going to test it today and post results.

Cheers,
Ihab

Waste of money those! Accurate, don't believe it. The wood probably has an infestation of woodworm and the varnish will turn white in sea water.

The best thing you could possibly do with that is post it to me for further scientific testing. rofl

NICE!!! VERY NICE!!!!! :) I'm not jealous in the least, really rofl

The Results are in.

Although the gun is heavier than your usual Carbon gun….but it’s very much acceptable once hits the water.

Manoeuvrability:-
This is Tricky……!
Moving the gun horizontally, from Side to Side….it has a very smooth motion….......not much different than a regular Carbon gun.
Moving the gun vertically, Up and down is a bit heavier than your usual Carbon gun.
The grip also has a postive effect on manoeuvrabilty.

Accuracy:-
It’s just Amazing…..I had a Double wrap and was aiming at still targets 4-5 meters and it was dead on.

Recoil:-
None whatsoever…!

Power:-
I’m used to loading 20 mm RA bands….the gun is rigged with 2x16 mm bands.
Although I never got the chance to actually see the spear coming out of the gun but I have this feeling that the bands that came with the gun can be a bit stronger….thinking of replacing them with 16 mm RA bands.
IMO….the original setup for this gun is a bit underpowered…..or let’s say it could handle about 30% more power.
Or mabe it's the type of bands that came with it.....I have a feeling the RA 16 mm bands are stronger....any help on this issue would be appreciated.

Overall Handling:-
It’s a gun made for big fish…although the manufacturer claims it’s for regular size fish….I don’t agree….it would definitely be an over kill for something under 2 kg.

Someone had asked for the price, it’s 495 Euros….about US$783
Is it worth it………..YES…………but I still love my RA.

Also, the second band is positioned in this unusual manner so that when it’s stretched, the volume of the second band does not exceed (add volume) the actual outline of the gun barrel…i.e., when secondary bands are starched, they become part of the barrel dimensions.

Cheers,
Ihab

If you want to be truly amazed by the work that goes into these guns checkout the Giman website. I thought the double band setup was very interesting so I figured I'd check out the site. All the information you could want to know located here --> G.I.MAN Sub - Dentex Double Giman
Really cool gun --> just under $800 though, I think I'll have to wait until I finish lawschool and actually start working before I can lay down that kind of cash. I guess I'll just have to be envious for the next 3 years. ;)

looks like replacing that second band could be tedious/time consuming, very innovated idea and beautiful gun :D
