1.) What gloves are better, ones with or without a strap ?

2.) Is it better to tuck them under the suit or over the suit ?

I know its a matter of preference,i have straples gloves that are tucked under the cuffs, but they get soaked inside, after awhile my fingers start looking like prunes..shops over here have a big selection of branded names..but no one seems to have an answer..i have cressi 2.5mm gloves..my suit is a perfect fit...aren`t gloves supposed to be waterproof..?

I use Omer 4mm gloves that are worn under the cuffs and yes they fill with water but still keep my hands warm even in the middle of winter when we get sea temperatures down to 4-6 degrees.

So it`s normal for them to fill with water (ok),the water around Cyprus is not to bad in winter...not sure what the tempeture is but you dive in really cold water,i just want answers to detail, cause i dive alone up here so when i go out i want to feel comfortable in the water..
Thanks this is a great forum,it has helped my alot.

i dive alone up here
You should not dive alone ! I have 2mm gloves bought in Decathlon (I don't know if they exists also in Cyprus but it's a big sport store in Belgium, France...)
Personally I don't like gloves with a strap, I don't really know why but my gloves without just feel better. I think it also depends from person to person...

i personally don`t like diving alone, but some work mates seem keen on trying it so maybe soon..

I don't know if you can buy online but it's often really cheap...

For warm waters I use dyneema gloves for handworks. They protect and are very very resistent.

I use Beuchat gloves (nice cut). No straps - what would you want straps for? Currently using the new-ish 2mm super-stretch model (because they stretch they have less sizes - probably not such a great idea as it first seems). They fit close & tuck easily into my sleeve, to hide the rather prominent white logo. Great for Summer but not really warm enough for UK winter. My old Beuchat gloves are just regular neoprene, no sure what thickness, maybe 3mm but I found them warm enough pretty much year round.
