Hello,
I'm 45 years old going back spearfishing again. Somebody would ask...why did you stop? I don't know....how can a beautiful thing like that just slips out of your hand and you don't even realized it happened untill you are 45. I used to do it almost avery days in the summertime till I was 25 years old than stopped. Anyway, I can go down to about 40' and hold my breath out of the water for 2:30 minutes. I'm a woodworker and I would like to build my self a speargun. Can anybody tell me where I can find the meccanical part for it? Thanks.

tromba.

Hello Mr tromba and welcome back to underwater world... It is sad to know that you spent 20 years without spearfishing but it is also nice to know that you are back... for mechanisms there are many websites having riffe mechanisms alexandre and there is one guy from egypt called ihab he is making his own mechanism which can take 4 rubbers search for him in home made spearguns.
Down are some websites for that:

FreeDiveShop.com

Speargun and Freediving Equipment

this is shortly what i got professional people will give better inputs than mine

All best

Il Tromba!!! :)
I love your nickname: I used to practice a lot with trombing when I was younger (and I still enjoy, sometimes)! rofl

If you look for trigger mechanisms, you'll find a lot of choice in Italy or italian on-line shops. Just 2 examples of good ones to assembly in your DYI wood guns:
Totem: Meccanismo di sgancio - Trigger mech
Seac Sub: Meccanismo di sgancio x-fire : Tutto Pesca Mare
et cetera.
Otherwise, in the USA, you can find extra-strong trigger mechs for extra powerful bluewater cannons. I see that American speargun builders give high value to Neptonics triggers, as correctly addressed by Salehthefish :-)
