I know there are too many threads on this, I read them all, and just got more confused. So, sorry for starting a new one!

I need help, and preferably from an Italian (Spago... )

I made the mistake at vertical blue of trying Frank Pernett's C4's, and they were very nice! Or the other way around, I dove 35M constant in my plastic 3000Ld's and thought my legs would explode on the way back. So decision is made.

I will only by one pair, and they must be robust enough to spear in >20M in rough waters (i'll use plastic for less) and subtle enough for me to break constant weight PB's in warmer waters.

I had decided simply to buy C4 falcons in 30 stiffness, but reading the new announcements, am truly lost.

I have narrower feet (cressi 3000 and imersion footpockets are perfect for me). Would the "lace ups" be better?

I will be buying in June, so no rush, but I have shoppers block. All help welcome..

I don't understand what the question is: about blades or footpockets? Falcon 30 are great blades and they're now being cleared by stores at a really good price (170 euro in Italy) to make room to the new Falcon Vgr made with a different type of carbon and different side rails than the previous.
I've had the old Falcon 30: best fins I 've ever had for diving deep. So if you ask me I say yes, go get'em, especially at the current prices.
As for footpockets, I've used Cressi, Sporasub, old Omer "Valerio Grassi" and Omer Millennium, but honestly I never felt so much difference, and never felt the pain or trouble that some people report in switching frmo onr type to another.
In other words, maybe I'm just lucky but I never felt any footpocket to be uncomfortable on my feet. (FYI my feet are long, size 45, banana shaped).

If you have a higher budget, or better said if I had a budget, I'd give a try to the new C4 Fuego VGR. They're practically a new version of the Superfalcon (with Mustang-style adjustable left-right footpockets, but with no "flap" at the edge of the blade).

thanks Spag. My question is, as you answered nicely at the end: what fins to buy.....

It is appealing to order the C4 faclon 30's, original version, at 170E. I wonder what the newer version will cost. My problem also though, will be shipping. Can you recommend a good store, in Italy I guess, that I could request a fin + shipping quote from?
GRACIAS!

your C4 VGR fuego recommendation is ringing in my head though, maybe I'll wait

Well it's not actually a recommendation for I haven't tried the Fuego or heard any feedback yet (theyll' be in stores from next week at 340 euro!!!).
Shipping to Chile? I've no idea. Shoudln't be much for just a pair of blades.
I once sent a 2 kilograms parcel to JimDoe in Florida (containing a speargun and a mask) and it was about 50 euro.
But shipping cost will skyrocket to way higher fares for heavier and bigger parcels, as I'm finding out trying to help an australian forum guy to land his order from an italian shop. In this case they're asking more than 300 euro for shipping, but that's a big heavy parcel order, much more than just a pair of blades or a single speargun...costs go by weight and size.

azapa..
c4's are definitely great and proven fins..im just not sure if they are the best for spearfishing though, i tried the falcons off a friend of mine, sure if you are standing still and go to depth they are excellent, but for some surface swimming i didnt like them...they were a bit "heavy" i found the same experience with the omer rekord 3 carbons, though many spearos swear by them, probably different hunting conditions differnt results...
the fins i found to be super for both surface and depth are the specialfins hybrid in medium stiffness.. do a search here, me and strangelove did a review somwhere... the hybrid is basically, carbon, fiberglass and kevlar... they also have a carbon model... worth looking into it..
