Sorry for the lateness of this report but Im very lazy:t

The customers for this trip were from Las Vegas Nevada. This was the first time they had been to this part of Baja and I was stoked to bring them there. We started off on the first day with just some warm up dives and spent some time in the water. We got some nice fish for the day and the water conditions were great, about 10m vis.

The next day it was more of the same. I stayed close to the lady today and helped her load her gun and show her some areas where she could get some cover behind some shallow rocks that were on the edge of a deep area. To her joy she nailed a triggerfish and shot a mexican hogfish in one eye and out the other, one of the best shots I have seen.

I told her "You beginner luck....."

Her companion who had been practicing in the lakes of Nevada as well as the rivers shooting carp and stripers was more than ready for the currents of the sea of cortez. He used some of his freshwater skills to nail a great stringer of Grouper!

The next day we went to one of my favorite grouper spots. They were everywhere! My partner Naty managed to get a shot off on a big one. He was hardly on the spear after a long fight that tired out both Naty and myself. When we finaly got it into about 40 feet of water I managed to dive down and get another shot in its head and we were able to pull it to the surface. It turned out to be worth the work, I still have fillets from this guy!!

That afternoon we decided to head over to Los Lobos islands. there is a Sea lion rookery there where the sealions will come over and swim with you. I had promised her that I would take here there so off we went. We swam with the sealions for a few hours. I love to be in the water with these animals. Some spearos consider them a nusiance but the ocean would not be the same without them. The people from Nevada were truly amazed by the way they move in the water and how they choose to interact with us. We stayed in shallow water and the animals would come up and check us out and play. One even jumped over us.

That day ended with a trip to the top of a hill that had some skeletons of whales on it. We kicked back for a while at the almost finished Spearo Castle and then watched the sun go down. We went into San Felipe about 40 minutes north and had dinner and all of our fish filleted.

Among other things we spotted a small whale shark, two sea turtles, some baby pelicans with white fluff on them standing on the beach, and a small manta ray.

All in all it was a great trip, a good amount of fish and a big helping of ocean cool stuff...
