What would be the best gun for under $225 I dive in warm waters east coast of Florida more towards the south high visibility water mainly going to be doing reef dives getting snapper and grouper but It needs to have power in case of something like a kingfish.

I don't think you can get one that cheap. If you can't afford to spend more now, wait until later when you can.

As I mentioned before, 120 cm gun would be a very good choice for what you describe. You can get a MAKO Predator Pro 3rd Generation model with twin bands, fully rigged with mini-shark fin shafts, shipped to your door for less than $210.

This is an extremely powerful and accurate gun and we have many customers who have taken large grouper, amberjack, cobia, kingfish with this gun. You will also need a floatline or a reel, which will be additional costs of course.

For your first gun, we would recommend a floatline over a reel, especially in south florida with the often strong currents.
