Do You know any good place with clean water & 20/30m deep near the shore and nice neighbourhood asweel anywhere in northern Italy?
thx
w.

Best places, for me, are Isola d' Elba , Isola del Giglio and Mount Argentario in Tuscany or Cinqueterre in Liguria...
Greetings !

Thnx, and what city in Cinqueterre - Varnazza, Manarola? The depper water near the shore the better for me...
I will have only small pontoon, so calm water with small waves is also pretty important. What region is better (less windy) - Cinqueterra or Isola del Giglio?

In my opinion cinqueterre is easier.. Don' t need a boat to reach it and there is a an important natural reserve so that is possible to dive and see nice things even not to far from sea-shore... I' ve been two times in Riomaggiore and found it good...
Giglio is probably more windy, but I think water is cleaner and the dives are wonderfull. Moreover Elba, Giglio and Argentario are very close to very important archeological sites in Tuscany (etruscan) and nice middle-age towns... so you can enjoy yourself even outside of the sea!

Riomaggiore looks great. Monterosso and Vernazza look even better beacasue they have small beaches - important for kid & wife.

You 're from Bologne - how many hours (and km) it took You to get to Rommagiore by car?

best regards
w

The fastest way from Bologna is the highway till Parma and then "Cisa" highway till La Spezia.. It' s about 240 Km. and it.s takes to me something less than 3 hours...

Thanks again.
And if I decide on Elba or Giglio, wchich part of them is best (light wind & small wives) - easter or northern. Maybe You can reccomend specific village.

It' s difficult to say... In summer weather is mostly good and it is difficult to have problems for wind and waves.. The worst winds, in any case, are the ones from north-west (maestrale). I couldn't say a special village where to go.. The isles are very beautifull in every part...
