I'm on the edge about buying one. How sweet would that be for freediving and spearfishing?! Anyone have any advice/experience on one? They're $300 for 1080p & waterproof to 60m/197'...

GoPro Video Camera, HD Hero2... what do you think?

If 1080p and waterproof is all you need, the precious model is avail for like $179 and works well.

Actually it can go deeper than that, I know guys from Hawaii who mounted it to bottom plate @ 83meters, no problem.
I used HD HERO before and wasn't too happy but I've seen my friends HERO2 footage wee took at the same time and..... I just bought HERO2. This camera is not perfect for underwater but it's the best bang for the buck. Tiny sensor needs more light that underwater world provides but it's not DSLR. It's tiny $300 camera that will do OK image in dark water and great image in shallow water on sunny day. Just remember You will need "flat focus fix" for underwater photo/video
