GoPro Video & Stills Of Jellyfish Explosion

Just went out for a casual beach dive last Saturday and caught some interesting images scooter free diving. These were shot with the GoPro HD in an Eyeofmine.com housing. At points I placed the camera on the bottom for some glide-by stills and video shooting through a fish school. There were several reefs of thousands of moon jellys drifting towards shore.

Awesome photos. Gotta get me one of these cameras...are they hard to use under water, because they're not very big right?

They are quite easy to use. The small size is a main selling point for me in free diving. I may drop with three cameras at times, a GoPro in a chest mount, one in my hand perhaps a G12 in the other. You definitely will want to get a flat port housing like eyeofmine.com to go with it for UW use though. The standard housing although rated for 180 ft. has a dome port that isn't corrected for UW use resulting in an out of focus error. They are nice, versatile cameras.

Thanks! It was just a casual dive on an unremarkable reef but I lucked out with some interesting images. It looks like you can embed vimeo videos here, here goes another try.
