GoPro2 ... Any good?

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.

Im thinking of buying the new GoPro2 this week for freediving.

If you've got one or had one would appreciate your feedback on this camera.

I read some reviews saying that the lens in the underwater housing distorted the picture making it pretty crappy unless you bought and mounted a new one on the house.
Should be able to come up with some nice reviews if you google go pro hero 2 and diving.

Yes Its true what u say. I'm currently trying to locate where I can purchase the underwater housing from here on Tenerife. I purchased the gopro2 the other day. Yes not a sharp picture but will be put right with new housing. U can see me using the gopro on some dives go to you tube just search for 'freediving Tenerife Spain 06-10-12' u will see how bad it is.
 
Not for nothing. Wait 1 month before buying the current camera go pro...just take my word on this. They might introducing something new...

Tell us more! Bought mine GoPro 2 HD Hero in last few days for 269 euros. Is a new camera been launched? Casing?
