Well so far i have yet to venture far from the pool in my learning's. But recently while taking all the shit out of my car the Pastor across the street noticed my fins, a conversation ensued that resulted in an invitaion for free trips with he, his family, and most importantly his boat, out to the rigs. Therefore, i need a wetsuit.. or at least i think i might...?
From what i'v read so far the best choice would be to go custom straight off the bat, but i'd rather not have to deal with that for my first suit (seems like it might be over the top, specaily since i'm not even sure exactly how often i'll get a chance to use it yet) Aside from that i'd rather not have to wait (not the most paitent person ever) So though i am keeping it in mind i'd rather look in to an off the rack first.
My first question woild be what thickness of wetsuit would be appropriate for the summer? Gulf temps in the summer are 70's-80's F (20-30 or so in 'C i belive) and i'v been making trips to the beach in nothing but my bikini since January when the temps where in the low 60's F (60'f is bout 15'c i think). Also i will be going to Florida for a good while this summer, unfortunatly i don't know what temps the water is out there, was hoping some floridian's might drop a line on that. My Florida romping grounds range from Palm Beach all the way down to Key West. I don't think that i'm actually gonna need it for keeping warm so much as for keeping away what might try and take a bite(and the sun, cause no amount of it has ever made my white ass any less white. And i'm pretty sure my risk for skin cancers high enough no need to compound the problem)
I'v noticed that they don't seem to make alot of wetsuits for wemon :hmm. i was wondering if any ladies or men with diving ladie freinds might be able to offer some adive as to witch off the racks are more likly to fit a woman with a more ...ampple figure. I'm 5'7 175lbs and i think my dress size is 12
