Flippin' eck Adam - I'm sure I'm not the only one twitching the right index finger when looking at those pics! Thanks for the link, keep on snapping...

Best wishes

Good to see the phantom Welsh hedgehog has awoke from hibernation. How are you Adam? Going to see you back over here any time soon?

Dave.

I spent my entire childhood in places like Oxwich, I grew up in Langland - great coast line!

Genuinely surprised to see we have Red Mullet here in Wales - thought they were confined to places like Guernsey!

Went to Brittany last summer, but coming to the Roack August this year - was going to post on the Guernsey thread soon to see if anyone fancies getting out for a snorkel - fancy it??

I've been snorkelling here for 10ish years now and only seen them in the day once (in Limeslade if you remember where that is?).

Only night dived here twice so far - saw several both times.

Always welcome mate. See if I can find you a bigger brill this time (and lend you my glasses :t ). I'm away for a couple of weeks hols (South Africa) sometime about then but otherwise I'm always keen to dive. If not me the others on the Guern' thread will always help you out. Night diving is becoming more popular and lots of us are getting more into our cameras.

Hope all's well with you and your boy must be old enough to be your dive buddy now.

Dave.

Awsome pics Draenog, that plaice had me licking my lips, I'm a Guernsey spearo and I'm currently living in swansea (student). I'm going to stay in swansea and work over the summer, which means clear water and hopefully diving/spishing heaps of new places. Is there much of a spearfishing/diving scene over here?

If you go past the Mumbles you'll come to Langland and Caswell, I've never speared there but I used to snorkle as a child and used to see a fair few fish.

Langland especially has great reef although I did once get stuck in a current and had to be rescued by the coast guards - although I was 8 and on a surf board, not quite the same as having fins on and being in the water, but still something to bear in mind!

Just round the corner from Mumbles you can get in at Limeslade and fin west over some nice kelp reef with plenty of fish. Lots more places along South Gower.

Cant wait for the summer, the south gower is my stomping ground for cricking surfing and fishing. Looking forwards to exploring the reefs I usually fish and surf. The viz normally sorts itself out around the end of may or june and in the past has looked quite diveable.

I was out Kayaking South Gower last night and the viz looked great. I've been at my stepsons birthday party this afternoon and on duty monday-thursday so can't get in until Friday. :head

Lets hope it stays!

Anyone else been in?

I got in at worms Head early Saturday morning. Viz looked great from my kayak but was a bit murky in. Nice swim with a seal though!
