green colored lingcod is it normal?

Speared my first ling cod recently. Had to freeze it right away, didn't have time to clean. Now, once thawed, tissue and the whole fish look very greenish, not just outside but fillets themselves. What did I do wrong and is it safe to eat now? Smells very good though, just like fresh fish should smell.
 
oops, quick search turned up so much info, looks like it is normal color (bluish green). To the frying pan it goes. Big fish though, will need my friends to help eating it. If I fry it, they will come
