Great results! Sorry i missed the announcement of this.

Good work guys, keep us posted of any future comps :)

hmmmm I see Andrea has a cloned brother (therefore even with the same name) how nice :D:D:D:D

.....or was he member of 2 teams?????????

Grtzzzz Pim

It is not a official Aida Competition, -only a fun event!

We are missing some Starters and so we make two cloned freedivers:cool:

I do forsee problems in future with this cloning of athletes....or will the clone be destroyed after this event? If yes, who is capable of telling who is the clone and who is the real Andrea?

<LOL>

This was really a fun event! :thankyou Thanks to Hartmut and all the
locals for organizing it in such a friendly manner. I went with two buddies from Munich, it was a looong drive but well worthy.

The first nice thing about it: it's a team competition, and the teams were combined in such a way that there was some general balance. Some of us had more experience and probably also stronger performances, but the teams were mixed and in the end it was difficult to predict which team had more chances to win. This was a great motivation also for beginners, which otherwise might have felt cut out.

The second great thing is that there were 5 disciplines in one day, some of them really one of a kind. Team static is more or less known already, but the rest were interesting and really fun to try out. In Static+50m dynamic only the total team static counts, but each static has to be concluded with a dynamic which of course changes things quite a bit. Team dynamic is also interesting, because you have to reach the point were your buddy is waiting according to the announcements. You can't do more, but if you do less then your next buddy has to cover up for you. So announcements have to be thought out carefully. Then there was 18x25 relay, in which each team member has to swim 6 times as fast as possible, starting when his buddy arrives. Lots of fun here, also to watch! :D
Then the rolling of the beer keg (full of ... water unfortunately) for 25m by each team member, not as easy as it seems.
You can see some videos here:

Finally, the really great thing about this competition is that it's really not a competition... a nice family atmosphere, no stress, lots of laughter, and many stories to tell. Very reasonable costs too (20 Eur for participation and food!), and a nice pool with warm water and heated benches, from which to watch the snow outside :cool:

Hope it is organized again next year!

Then I'll clone myself twice, so I can be my own team... :duh
