Hello every1... Thank you the great threads all over this site.
I have been surfing all around the net and find this forum the most useful.

My motive behind all of this is to increase my depth & breath hold in freediving while at the same time be more skillful in spearfishing.

Unfortunately in my part of the world, there is no freediving courses or trainers. I have been doing my searching here and there and no hope whatsover. Divers here rely more on scuba diving which i don't see the thrill and excitment in.

So.. my only way to get better in this lovely thrilling sport is throough browsing the Internet... which make me come to the conclusion that this forum might be my only chance to get better in this sport that is very important to me..

I currently dive up to 6-8m..and hold my breath up to 1:20seconds. [ sad but true]

Any idea how to start? I don't want to reach more than 20meters. But of course the longer i stay under the better.

I appreciate all the feedback and views.

I'm currently residing in Jeddah, KSA.

Thanks a load!!

I would really appreciate your views on how to minimize oxygen consumption, reduce CO2 buildup, recognize my physiological limits, and lower my heart rate??

I have also come to know that lung packing is of extreme important. But how is it done? What about contractions? Is there any videos available online that demonstrates it?

Welcome to DB from Texas! Check the freediving threads for info. Alos try the search engine for ling packing. Good luck and dive safe!

Hello and welcome on DB...

As agbiv said check thread of free diving but keep safety first.

All best

Thanks...I on top of my Co2 and O2 tables currently. I was wondering, How often can we do the tables? Can I do it once per day? And how soon do you guys will i see improvement on my breathhold?

And does this help in freedive or just static pool dive?
