I am looking for information about any nitrogen effects produced by free diving in between or after scuba diving. Are there any good articles on this subject?

The forum search function might be useful to you. Welcome :)

Thanks - I looked there and did not find anything right away - I will do some more looking and see if I can find some answers. While I was in Mexico in Nov. I had the dive master tell me not to free dive in between tank dives as it would throw off my recovery times. I am looking for an article or resource to understand more about this. I have never heard it before and if it is so I want to understand it. Thanks, Waterlover

Your dive master was right, but there's more to it than recovery times. You could get some pretty serious decompression illness if you freedive between scuba dives. It's very dangerous and has been discussed on the forums. Try searching "Freediving after scuba" or "Freedive after scuba". There are several threads on the subject.

Again, welcome, and it was very wise of you to research this issue.
