Heya everyone,

Holiday Diver here, only get to do sea dives 4 times a year.
JHB being inland and only two commercial dive spots (feel free to let me know of any others I have missed) available to us within decent driving distance it sucks. You get pretty sick of a 'office', a 'bus', a 'plane' and a 'helicopter'!!!!!!

Nice fellow divers here though, so its not all bad!!!!!!!!

Welcome Goblin! Which part of Joeys? My folks live out near the Cradle of Humankind, Maropeng. Have you seen it?

Mum bought me a fridge magnet from there. It has a picture of a prehistoric naked man on it (well of course) and it says

"Try to say Homo Erectus without laughing"

rofl

Yeah, I stay in the West, thats Maropeng side, ride past it every weekend - nice place if you dont know anything about evolution, if you do it look smore like a tourist trap!!!!!!
Your folks have a farm or plot out there?

I stay in Cape Town now which I'm stoked about!

For a freediver though, I reckon Jozi is pretty awesome - you've got Miracle Waters, Bass Lake, and then Badgat all close by. And some great pools like Ellis Park. And then Mozams is close (and no visas needed for Saffas anymore), as well as Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Happy days and welcome!

When did the word "Saffa" start? When i moved from SA to the UK we were still called Japies rofl
