Hi All,
Glad to be on the forums; I'm Tyler and I am just getting into freediving and spearing. I have been SCUBA Diving for over 13 years, recreational and technical, and have speared every now and then for the past 3 years. I have now gotten a lot more serious about it, buying carbon fiber fins, and a Gatku polespear, floatline, etc. to get started and have owned all the other required equipment from diving.
Anyways, I am anxious to take a freediving class and dig deeper into the sport. At the moment, I do not have any friends who spear and freedive regularly, so if anyone in the LA/Malibu area may need a buddy, don't hesitate to message me. I am on dive charters very frequently and take boats out with friends very often, as well as snorkel the coast with my girlfriend regularly. I am eager to see what the sport is all about, and have an alternative to putting a tank on my back.
Cheers!
