Im an Alaskan resident and have lived here for 30+ years. I am interested in diving and spearfishing. I was certified 8 years ago, but only dive on vacations so I have a lot to learn about it. I went to a local dive shop several years ago and was not impressed with the response I recieved. I reciently went on a vacation on the big Island, Hi and ran into the nicesest divers who shared my interests and gave me inspiration to look into diving here around Anchorage area again.

Hi Mikthestik,

Welcome to DB. Don't know about Anchorage, but there are several DBers from Alaska. Use the search function for "alaska" and you will find a bunch of threads.

Have fun.

Connor
