Hello fellow freedivers! I've been freediving since first learning to swim, and training in static apnea from the day I was given my first digital watch as a kid. This website has already proved a valuable resource to me for training tips and techniques over the past 2-3 years and I'm rapidly learning more from this forum.
'Dry' extreme sports had my full attention for a long time, but now my slightly arthritic bones prefer the smooth movements and freedom found in freediving. Neutral buoyancy is bliss!
Searching for a fellow apneist to train with has so far been unsuccessful, that's one of the reasons I'm here. Also, I don't drive, so most of the time it's practically impossible for me to get out and enjoy some real freediving - as well as being extremely dangerous! It would be great to hear from anyone in the area who needs a buddy to train and freedive with.
