Hello!

Had to join the forums because I kept coming back for more...

I am a native Floridian in Brooklyn who has been indoor-pool training DNF for 3 years, mainly for fitness, borne out of curiosity. Spearfishing struck me (unintentional) as a great way to use some of those skills for undersea hunting, after I caught a bit of the bug on a recent diving trip in Guadeloupe; shortly thereafter, I arrived here.

Long Island and North Jersey are my nearest grounds, but I travel to Fort Lauderdale / Miami and the Caribbean annually to escape the deep chill and enjoy the sunshine. Would like to join others in the quest for pesce in any of those locales if there are any friendly folks open to having me along. I come from an athletic background, am a strong swimmer and eager to learn skills and techniques through new challenges.

I'll be in South Florida with my better half January 3rd - 10th for a weekend wedding and am planning to do some shore dives if anyone is available and interested in meeting up.

Regards,
Eddie

Hi Eddie, welcome to the forums. Have you taken a freediving class? You'd probably do extremely well.

How did you end up in Brooklyn? I bet that was a drastic change from your native Florida.
