Greetings everyone,
First of all, thanks for all of the great information and exchange of ideas on the board. I've used this site as a reference while learning the sport of freediving, and now that I have a little more experience, I thought I'd chime in and try to contribute what I can.
I'm a PADI divemaster and FII Level 1 freediver and most of my experience is in the upper Gulf of Mexico (FL/AL/MS/LA) oil rigs, wrecks, and hard bottom, as well as a little freshwater and Caribbean. I really enjoy spearfishing and I dabble with photo/videography. Currently I'm in med school but will have a break from class this summer, which leads to my first question for the board:
If you could take a 1-2 week solo trip to anywhere for spearfishing between now and mid-August, where would it be? And if you feel like explaining why, that would be much appreciated, and might start a good conversation!
